How is stainless steel scrap processed?
Stainless steel scrap is collected from various sources, including manufacturing waste, end-of-life vehicles, and construction materials. It is sorted based on grade and composition, melted down in electric arc furnaces, and refined to remove impurities. The recycled stainless steel is then cast into new products, reducing the need for primary raw materials.
