Where and when will the Metalshub Summit take place?

The 2025 Metalshub Summit will take place on May 21st and 22nd in the Zeche Zollverein in Essen, Germany. The Zeche Zollverein is a former coal mine and coking plant. With its unique architecture, it is a technical masterpiece, earning its reputation as the “most beautiful coal mine in the world.”

The agenda will be a mix of informative keynote and panel presentations around the topics of digitalisation and sustainability in the metals, mining & recycling industry. In 2023 speakers included executives from ArcelorMittal, H2 Green Steel, BCG, LME and more. For 2025, please view the above agenda.

One ticket for the Metalshub Summit includes access to all keynote and panel presentations as well as catering throughout the two days. Catering includes a light breakfast, lunch and dinner on day one and a light breakfast and lunch on day two. Throughout the day, coffee and drinks will be available, and for dinner, alcoholic drinks are also included.

To minimise travel time for attendees, we recommend staying at Hotel Friends at the Zeche Zollverein. Alternatively, the Moxy, Franz or Sheraton hotels in Essen can also be recommended.

The location is easily accessible via public transport and tram line 107 (station “Essen Zollverein”). Alternatively, you can park your car on-site.
