Spanish foundry saves time and strengthens supplier relationships

Before adopting Metalshub, Ebroacero primarily relied on emails and phone calls to procure raw materials from its established network of suppliers. Seeking to expand its supplier base and streamline its sourcing workflow, the Zaragoza-based foundry in northern Spain turned to Metalshub.

Today, Ebroacero leverages Metalshub to efficiently source a range of raw materials essential to its operations, such as pig iron, ferrochrome, nickel briquettes, ferromanganese, ferromolybdenum, and more. Given Metalshub’s vibrant network of suppliers, Ebroacero publishes >95% of the enquiries in public mode to enable continuous supplier discovery.

A key benefit for the purchasing team has been the significant reduction in time required to publish an enquiry to the Metalshub network. What once demanded numerous phone calls and emails is now accomplished in just a few clicks, allowing Purchasing Manager Eduardo Giménez and his team to post enquiries in under two minutes. This efficiency has freed up valuable time, enabling the team to focus on more strategic priorities, such as strengthening supplier relationships.

Looking ahead, Ebroacero intends to leverage these efficiencies to drive strategic growth initiatives, further enhancing its supplier partnerships and sustaining its reputation for high-quality, customised cast steel components.
