High efficiency & many new customers
“Over the years we have come to see the value in Metalshub and appreciate the efficient workflows for us as a supplier. Metalshub enables me to maintain a good personal relationship with my buyers while making the administrative process more efficient.”
Collaboration
Since 2018, the L&M group has been using Metalshub to close >250 transactions across >15 raw materials with a cumulated value of >€60m. Throughout the years of using Metalshub, L&M was able to also receive enquiries from new prospects and build up lasting relationships with several new customers.
During this period, L&M has established an outstanding reputation as a reliable supplier, consistently achieving an impeccable average rating of 5.0 out of 5.0 across all completed transactions. This excellence was recognised in 2021, 2022 and 2023 when Metalshub awarded L&M the “Best Supplier of the Year” award for bulk alloys.
“As L&M, we pride ourselves in providing the best-in-class service for our customers. When concluding business via Metalshub, we can easily collect feedback on our service and also create a track record of ratings that will help us win new customers”, states Tim Libawski, Key Account Manager at L&M.
Metalshub has also helped the company make more informed decisions for their business by providing a structured overview of past negotiation data. This organised data allows for quicker identification of trends and patterns, significantly simplifying the analysis process. The system also enables L&M to assign the right contact persons per raw material category so that no tenders are ever missed.

Due to long-standing and very good connections to worldwide raw material producers, the L&M group is able to keep commodity positions in stock and to maintain inventories in Europe-wide warehouses for ferroalloys, metals and carbon products.
Sustainability is also a key priority for L&M, especially as climate change impacts become more evident. Recognising this responsibility, the L&M Group is taking significant steps to reduce its environmental footprint. The group offsets CO2 emissions in line with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol through voluntary compensation. Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions are compensated by reforesting with climate-resistant tree species like oak, beech, spruce, and pine. As a consequence, the company has been certified by the German Institute for Sustainability and Economics since 2023.

Results
Incorporating Metalshub into its operations has propelled L&M Group’s digitalisation agenda, making it an attractive employer for new talent. The platform’s ability to streamline transaction processes and provide structured data access has significantly enhanced L&M’s market reach and strengthened customer relationships. After six successful years, both Metalshub and L&M are eager to further expand and solidify their collaboration in the future.
