In 2023, buyers submitted more than 300 supplier ratings on Metalshub. The increased use of the rating system highlights the growing importance of data to manage buyer-supplier relationships. We are delighted to announce the recipients of the Metalshub Best Supplier Awards for the year 2023, across four categories: Bulk Alloys, Noble Alloys & Metals, Scrap, and Sustainability.

L&M is a trader of alloys and metals that has partnerships with renowned ferroalloy producers from all continents and supplies bulk alloys to European steel producers and foundries. Roman Klein, one of the managing directors of the company, received the awards as a representative for the L&M team.

The company is a trading company with a global sales and distribution network and its headquarters in Essen, Germany. The company’s offerings include raw materials such as alloys, metals, carbon products and minerals as well as steel products. Sascha Ewert, Head of Non Ferrous Metals, and Fedor Mironenko, Senior Trader, Ferroalloys & Metals, received the prestigious Best Supplier Award on behalf of their teams.
Congratulations to TSR Recycling in the category of scrap! The company was founded in 1890 and is headquartered in the city of Lünen just North of Dortmund. With 150 locations, mainly in Germany, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Poland, the company recycles 7.9 million tons of ferrous metals and 0.5 million tons of non-ferrous annually. TSR’s Technical Director of the stainless steel division, Holger Biedermann, received the award on behalf of the TSR team.
And for the first time, Metalshub has awarded the Best Supplier Award in the category of Sustainability. Congratulations to Minviro! The company is headquartered in London and offers a SaaS technology platform for life cycle assessments. Their expertise encompasses the entire value chain from raw materials, through mining to processing and downstream value-added sectors. From Q4, Minviro’s carbon footprint will be integrated into the Metalshub platform and helps to inform raw materials buyers on the environmental footprints of the products they buy. From 2024, Metalshub will recognise with the Sustainability Award suppliers who transparently provide product carbon footprint information to buyers via Metalshub. Jacob Thomas, a Business Developer at Minviro, received the awards on behalf of their teams.
